Our Electric Alligator Lopper made me think of the Toro Ultra 12 amp Electric Blower / Vacuum we got a few Fall’s ago. Both of them are extremely light and functional for their tasks.
Upon use you will notice how quiet this is compared to other gas-motored leaf blowers. Gas motored leaf blowers are also oily, carburetors leak, and the gas exhaust is not pleasant either. Those living around you will be pleased! Oil and gas of course are becoming more and more expensive so those residual costs are not a nice feature of gas blowers. Not to mention the Toro has more suction power than a gas blower. The only limiting factor is that you have a long cord you have to drag around the yard to keep your Toro Ultra plugged in.
Converting from blower to vacuum is done with the touch of a button on the Toro Ultra. Taking out the bag and emptying is a simple process. Toro Ultra also has a cast magnesium impeller for some bigger yard work that gets caught up like stones or sticks.
Best part is, instead of spending 300 bucks on a gas blower (like Echo), you are looking at under 100 bucks. Recently it went down on Amazon and is being sold for 69$ and free shipping. On eBay you can find Toro Ultra 12 Amp Electric Leaf Blowers for 40-50$! There is a bit of a fee for shipping to make it close to Amazon but it is something to consider. Register for eBay to save money if you have not already.
